Food is underrated in its ability to make or break relationships. It's true of every stage of romance, from dinner and drinks being many peoples' preferred first date to who cooks when after you are married or cohabiting. While it's true that everyone has different tastes and you are not as likely to find a partner who likes absolutely everything that you do, it's an extra level of work when you shack up with somebody who is a picky eater.
For one, this makes sharing food more difficult and if they aren't gracious about it, this can cause unnecessary stress. This seemed to be the conclusion when one woman shared a video of her husband being condescending after she cooked him spaghetti because he didn't want to eat her original Nigerian meal. It's one thing to dislike something, but it's quite another to go out of your way to make it somebody else's problem.
